Summertime is swimming time. Swim season is still in full swing and the blog team at Williams and McDaniel is here to help you beat the heat with some swimming options near your home at Pinegrove Apartments in Waterloo. On your mark, get set — go!

Located in the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (101 Father David Bauer Drive, just 10 minutes by bicycle from Pinegrove Apartments at 145 Lucan Avenue, Waterloo), the Swimplex features an 8 lane, competitive swimming pool (30m by 22m). There is a 3 storey waterslide, springboards, a 5 metre high dive tower and a separate kids’ area. See the full schedule for details.

Moses Springer Community Centre Pool

The 8 lane, outdoor pool at Moses Springer Community Centre Pool is a great place to beat the heat this summer. There are 2 waterslides, clean changing rooms and a ramp, as well as stairs into the shallow end. There is also a park nearby, so you can enjoy a picnic before or after your swim. Open daily until September 4th, this pool is only a 10 minute bike ride from Pinegrove Apartments.

Region of Waterloo Swim Club

If you’re looking to take your swimming a little more seriously than simply splashing around the pool for fun, consider joining the Region of Waterloo Swim Club (ROW). The first step is to schedule an assessment of your current swim level to find the appropriate group. ROW swimmers have won 7 Olympic medals in their club history, the most of any Canadian swim club.
There is still plenty of time to get swimming this summer, but don’t wait — Labour Day will be here before you know it! For more information on Williams and McDaniel rental properties in Waterloo, please visit our website.
