To help Pinegrove Apartment residents get their New Year’s plans in order, our preferred property management company, Williams and McDaniel, has researched some fun, public events where you can ring in the New Year. 
City of Waterloo New Year’s Eve Family Celebration
For a family-friendly New Year’s celebration drop by the City of Waterloo’s New Year’s Eve Family Celebration. Kids and adults can enjoy outdoor activities like free skating at the city’s recreational complexes, mad science demonstrations, puppet shows and FX Worx Inc fireworks. Tim Horton’s is also providing free hot chocolate, which is sure to keep you warm and toasty. A family celebration in Waterloo Public Square will run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on December 31st. The Square at 75 King Street South is an 11-minute transit commute and a three-minute drive from the Pinegrove Apartments. For little ones who can’t stay up until the clock strikes midnight, there will be an early countdown at 9:00 p.m. with a free ginger ale “champagne” toast and a stunning fireworks display.

Rogers’ Rockin’ New Year’s Eve at Victoria Park
Drop by Rogers’ Rockin’ New Year’s Eve at Victoria Park and enjoy family skating, balloon creations, fireworks, a princess party and delicious drinks. Join Kevin Gordon, Sarah LaGrove and Bob FM’s Chris McKeown from 5:00 p.m. to midnight for a night full of festivities. Located in Victoria Park, this free family event is a seven-minute drive; 26-minute transit ride and 36-minute walk from the Pinegrove Apartments.

Flashback To The Future for New Year’s Eve
Whether you’re interested in live entertainment, 80s throwback parties or Toy Con, Kitchener’s It’s a Flashback To The Future for New Year’s Eve bash is sure to keep you interested. Activities that are suitable for both kids and adults will start at 7:00 p.m. on Civic Square. Children’s programming will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with adult programming taking over at 9:00 p.m. This celebration in downtown Kitchener is a five-minute drive; 14-minute transit ride and 28-minute walk from the Waterloo apartments.

Kingpin’s Ball
For those who would prefer an indoor 19+ New Year’s celebration, check out the Kingpin’s Ball at Bingemans. Here you’ll be able to dance, party and bowl in the New Year, all while staying toasty warm. The festivities start at 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and include a Boston Pizza food station, DJ and dance party and bowling with shoes. Located at 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, the bowling lounge is a 10-minute drive from the apartments.

Free Indoor Skating
A free indoor public skate will be held at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex located at 101 Father David Bauer Drive and RIM Park’s Manulife Financial Sportsplex located at 2001 University Avenue East from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Pinegrove Apartments are a six-minute drive and 23-minute transit commute from the Memorial Recreation Complex and a 10-minute drive and 39-minute transit commute from the Manulife Financial Sportsplex.
